This weekend had two trips to the countryside in store. On Saturday we visited our former flatmate Wieland who was having a big garden party with his house 10 km out of town. It was a nice and relaxed atmosphere with many people there, games, food, a band even. All in all, their place is perhaps a bit too wholesome for my taste (and too far away) but it's always nice for a visit.

Today my dad stopped over on a train journey because he had to sort something out in our house in Uslar. I drove him their in Ansgar's car. The average distance the car makes without the engine stopping for no good reason is 30 km – the distance to Uslar is 34 km. Fun. Everything worked out smoothly in the end. No nasty surprises, nice cake in Uslar and my dad even made it for the early train back to Bremen – because the train was 10 minutes late. I like this perfect teething together of events.
