Ever since I lived with three Asian girls and enjoyed the comfort and perfectly cooked rice of a rice cooker, I wanted to get one. Cooking rice right on a stove is quite hard and having badly cooked rice can spoil a meal. Still, I never really got round to buying one as they are rather uncommon in Germany.
Today, I finally got round to buying one on eBay. Not only does it resemble really closely the one we used in England – unlike those I saw in local Asian store – it's also a reasonably small size and cost about half of what they charge in most stores.
The next step would be daring to make sushi without Chiho's supervision. Hmmm, sushi.
