Being a member of DANTE, the German TeX user group I receive their mailings a few times a year. In recent years they started to include nice goodies into the mailing from time to time. Just complete copies of the CTAN server at the beginning and more fancy stuff like a nicely printed page that was designed by Hermann Zapf last year.

This time the goodie was even more fancy. A little typography magazine/booklet. It's very pretty with a nice 'deep black' cover and so on. The content is a bit pretentious and disappointing, though - designers offering their versions of the word 'typography' and a blurb to go with it, most of which I didn't find to too appealing. The booklet also contains a CD with a couple of fonts and – that's quite fun – what looks like a ready to go installation to include those fonts into TeX.

Too bad I thought the fonts in question were – erm – dispensable.

Nice T-Shirts on the web site, btw. I have to make some of my own. Hmmm, T-Shirts.
