Numbers seem to have the ability to deactivate people’s brains. As soon as there are numbers, they just stop thinking. Either because they are scared or because they will just trust in numbers.

That way I printed on paper classified as ‘80mg/m²’ and people consume half a litre of extra fuel per kilometre when attaching a stupid flag to their car. You don’t need to be proficient in any way with the numbers themselves, these statements are absurd by common sense alone. But somehow the fact that a number appears in them makes people’s minds go blank, causing them to state or repeat those ‘facts’ without noticing how ridiculous they are.
