Quarter Life Crisis
The world according to Sven-S. Porst

These days there’s plenty of fun in the business news. Economies crumble, money apparently vanishes, some companies become ridiculously overvalued due to stock market roulette, and every report about these things in a newspaper will come complete with a graph of some index or price over time and a photo of a stock market person looking shocked or facepalming.
Apparently that ‘emotional’ touch sells the news, but I think it’s ridiculous. If the stock market people were even slightly good at their job they surely made more money than they need (or even deserve) anyway and for them it’s a job. They didn’t just lose their own pensions but those of other people. They wanted to play and they lost. It’s hard to see the tragedy. I suppose real hardship will appear as a consequence of that wonderful ‘crisis’, but I do wonder whether we’ll learn about it.
You surely must have seen this http://brokershandsontheirfacesblog.tumblr.com/ Strikingly emotional post anyway.
Somebody told (as in talking) me about it, but I didn’t know the exact name and address. Thanks for that!
