Lekker Braaivleis
Pictures from the Braaivleis I had celebrated with Yassin, Christian and Claus with the original Boerewors, Biltong and Pap that my mom brought from South Africa on July 24th 2003.
Ingredients

Boerewors – still shrink-wrapped and semi-frozen.

Delicious Biltong.

Tradisionele Growwe Braaipap / Traditional Coarse Braaipap, to be made with tomato and onion sauce.

Short of authentic Castle lager, we had to make do with some good South African wine. Poor us.
Braai Action

Yassin is the firestarter, complete with professional clothing and a little cardboard roof over the barbecue to protect the fire from rain.

The first boerewors on the braai. Beef.

With more rain coming, the little roof to protect the braai from rain had to be reinforced. Ingeniously.

The second wors is braaied as well. It's sheep.
Eating

The food is being served.

The smell is so good, we can't wait to tuck in.

The thinner, second wors being served. Seen along with the pap and the sauce.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible.
