After I discussed those strange things happening in physics last week, the proceedings have even made it into the (non-tabloid) mainstream press with Die Zeit having a report on the topic. What they write pretty much resembles John Baez' report, though.
It's sad to see that this area of physics which isn't too far from what I want to be doing may be sliding into a sort of unscientific state.
