A rather amusing sight in our garden:
Some wall with Es wird deutsch in Kaltland
written onto it. It translates to a non-sensical It’s getting german in cold country
and is a word play on Es wird kalt in Deutschland
, i.e. It’s getting cold in Germany
, which in turn is often used to refer to ‘social coldness’ but in this case can be taken quite literally as you only see the text in winter when it’s not covered by plants.
