My first photos
Taken in the mid 1980s in Büsum at the North sea
This is probably the first camera I ever used and it was the first camera my dad had. The Box camera is only slightly more sophisticated than a pinhole camera and it was a big step towards popularising photography many decades back.
It uses medium format film which is seems quite fancy today but wasn't so back in the days. Thanks to the rather bad optics, the film's quality isn't really taken advantage of.
Thanks to the camera's simplicity it still works without a hitch more than half a century after it was made. It could just to with some cleaning.
