I went to see The Incredibles with my brother in the 23:00 screening. We were surprised that the film was shown at that time at all. And indeed, we were the only ones seeing it – having the whole cinema to ourselves.
What can I say about the film? For sure it was well done and I thought the image quality was extremely good and crisp. The story was entertaining as well. But that’s about it. For me those digitally animated films have lost the excitement of the early days. It’s something that can be done. And done well. But it’s not enough to make films good. They’ll need better stories and can’t just cash in on the kids audiences or poking fun at other genres in the future.
Of course there were nice bits in the film. Like the boss early on, who was perfectly dubbed by Herbert Feuerstein in the German version. I also liked that they actually used the advantages of digital animation to localise the film in places. For example the newspaper headlines you see in some places were in German.
The main thing I found annoying was the little plot where the daughter fails to make a protective bubble for her mum and brother early on and then, ‘surprisingly’, manages to save everyone in the end. I found that a bit too obvious.
How wonderful it is! Today, I had seen the film - “The Incredibles” this afternoon, My father also had seen this film in this evening. This cartoon movie is powered by Disney-Pixar. In this film, I love the people’s sensation, scene, bugbears. The scene is so sublime. With the great imagination.
