I'm 
just chatting with Dan on ICQ and he found out that it's tricky to type € characters on a UK-keyboarded PC. When he finally managed, many innocent €s were typed. And we found a new Emoticon: :-€, which is obviously the emoticon for Zoidberg. Now, Zoidberg is just the best character in Futurama. And now he has his own emoticon. The fact that emoticons are considered a bit passé seems very in-character.
Now Zoidberg is the popular one!
