Just saw Apple's new Music related offerings. I liked the old iPod design better, but larger drives and a slimmer profile sound nice. As does having a Solitaire game :) The base station could be handy as well – reducing the cable clutter on-desk.

I have yet to try the new iTunes and Music store, but judging from the screenshots: Finally Rendezvous shared music libraries and the ability for very comfortable shopping. Sure, 99c a song isn't cheap but if they offer a wide choice of music at high speeds and little hassle, I am sure the "A fool and his money are parted soon" mantra will hit again. The German Apple Store doesn't mention the music stuff by the way. So either we are excluded or forced to buy abroad. We'll see.

There's a barbecue waiting outside right now, so I'll have to slow my curiosity at this stage.

As far as I understand it, European versions of the “iTunes Music Store” are going to come later (I’ve read claims of as early as mid-May).
