I have a day-to-day Dilbert calendar this year. Yesterday's cartoon featured the lovely line Lately, the only thing keeping me from being a serial killer is my distaste for manual labor. Well said. And only to be topped by Dogbert who replies You're preaching to the choir.
More fair use for iTMS locked music? We'll see what happens. I suppose this means that both the algorithm used by the DRM and the key used for encryption can be considered known now. This still seems to imply that you'll get fair use only as you'll need the key used to encrypt the files.
How does the activation of additional computers for iTunes' DRM work btw? If Apple encrypts files to your particular key, how do they deal with you adding a computer after they've encrypted the file? And have people gotten hold of the universal key that must be in the iPod's firmware?

On the train I read a some government sponsored magazine featuring popular research results. An interesting one stated that no matter how cleverly engineered the low-fat food you eat is you body will detect the fraud and try to compensate. It concludes in saying that we still eat the same stuff we ate 100 years ago – but now we feel guilty about it.
