Two bits of local news: The author of that 'Sasser' fun bit of software for our Microsoft using friends seems to be from Lower Saxony a– somewhere between here and Bremen, my 'home' town – and has been arrested. (Note the good use of a Lombard/Pismo style Powerbook to illustrate the report). If bored eighteen year olds can do this, what can criminal masterminds achieve? Also, welcome to the world of Microsoft sponsored whistleblowing.
Over in Bremen, meanwhile people are celebrating because their football team will be the German champion after defeating Munich on their home turf. I have a hard time figuring out whether I can let my dislike of football be superseded by my dislike of Bavaria and thus derive some joy of this. Everybody else seems to be quite pleased, though.
