When telling someone today that I already set up a bookmark for the new web site in the Bonjour folder of his Safari bookmarks he was shocked that I could add bookmarks to other people’s browsers.
My quick explanation of the situation was that Bonjour ist wie Straßenstrich
, web sites just hang out there and will go with whoever sees them and is interested. Somehow this explanation worked well, even though it didn’t exactly play down the ‘risks’ of the situation.
Things to learn from this:
Streetwalker, perhaps.
‘Straßenstrich’ is the environment streetwalkers work in. Keeping the analogy up: a Bonjour advertised service would be a streetwalker…
