The other day a couple of friends came onto the topic of eBay. It's quite popular these days and it seems that everybody has bought some thing or another at some time (or another). Of course there can be some excitement involved in bidding and finally winning an auction and I can vividly picture some of my friends sitting at their computers - and possibly screaming at the screens.
We finally came up with the theory that What's the last thing you bought on eBay? is a nice and interesting question to ask. So I'll put up my latest eBay winnings in the eBay category here.
What else about eBay? Well, it seems that people in Germany try to be smarter than in Britain by trying to make clever bids. Also, the prices sometimes go by far too hight at the end of the auction so that there's the danger of being carried away. For me, in the end one of the main problems remains, remembering when the end of an auction actually is, as there are very few things which I managed to get without placing my final bit close to the end.
And of course there are useful tools by now for winning auctions. My favourite one is Watson, the eBay plugin of which takes the pain out of searching for the stuff you want and tracking the auctions. Very neat. And as they say:
Your goal is to win eBay auctions.
