e-Commerce done correctly

266 words

I like e-Commerce - buying stuff online, that is. You have powerful search facilites at your disposal, you can easily compare prices between shops, it's not raining, you don't have to put up with shop assistants who are incompetent and either hide from you if you need them or start annoying you once you've entered the shop - you don't have to put up with all those other people standing in your way which is particularly bad at this time of the year, you are not bound to those seriously limited opening times we have in Germany, etc.

Of course I wouldn't buy everything online. Things like food or clothes I actually like to see before buying them and German books are better bought in proper shops as well - book shops are nice as well and the prices are the same everywhere. But when it comes to markets which are ruined anyway, as for CDs or things which are hard to get, English Books, say, then online shopping comes in handy.

So at the end of the day I am doing my best to keep all those e-Commerce shops alive single-handedly. This week I used a couple of free gift vouchers over at amazon, teaming up with a couple of friends for buying presents there, to be able to use them. Then I enjoyed the possibility to change your order before it is actually dispatched, in this way making use of some new special offers and kicking out a CD I got cheaper on eBay tonight. And I won't need to worry about buying presents.
