... the one-eyed is king.
Odd. I tried browsing the iTunes Store again and while remain impressed by the speed and how quickly the samples start playing, I have yet to find any music that I'd actually be interested in. I heard – read, that is – people going on about how great the videos etc are, but I hardly found any. So, not too much enthusiasm here... Let's hope that doesn't change until the store comes over to Germany.
Reliably, Ars Technica have an entertaining piece on Apple's recent music brouwhaha, Steve's non-belt, the anal hole, the creepy eye, the store's lack of Nazi music and Sheryl Crow's armpits.
Concerning the new iPod, I haven't read any complaints on its lack of proper FireWire port yet. It seems like you'll have to use that adaptor cable for everything. I'm not sure this will make a big difference in practice but I considered ability to hook the original iPod up anywhere with any FireWire cable to load songs and recharge a sign of very elegant design.
The clock they seem to have built in looks very good as well – large digits! I frequently see people fiddling around with their mobile phones to know the time having to look at them closely to read the little digits. Only Chiho's phone would simply display a large digit clock instead of a silly logo when not in use. Very simple and very useful. Let's hope the iPod can be set to display the large clock permanently.
