A bad start

191 words

Many different things happened today. I was off for a bad start, though, spilling my tea halfway through the kitchen and having to clean that up and then leaving the house having forgotten half of my stuff thus having to return again. Later on I realised that I also managed to very effectively use my Powerbook to smash a kiwi that happened to be in my rucksack and turn it into kiwi slush. That meant that quite a few of my notes have sticky edges now and I had to clean my rucksack and my incredibly nice Powerbook sleeve. Not the best way to start a day.

It was the first day of our summer school today. Two of the talks left me quite puzzled. Too much physics in there and too little stuff I actually understand. Hm. We had dinner with the speakers later on, getting to know them a bit. Rain and a thunderstorm started when we left the restaurant, so I decided to visit my old-time neighbour Martin, whom I hadn't seen in ages and who lives in the city centre, instead of riding home through the rain.
