Cry for help

172 words

Any Mac programmers reading this? If you are – I am stuck here and I can't see what the problem is.

I am trying to write a plugin for the address book. All the supposedly hard stuff worked without a problem. But what I can't do is load resources of my own (sounds, images, nibs). My class (a subclass of NSBundle) just doesn't find them when trying to load them using the usual magic methods like NSSound's soundNamed:.

If you've got experiences with writing these kinds of bundles and seen similar phenoma, please tell me. I am starting to be a bit frustrated.

Update: After having had the problem for ages (since yesterday, anyway) – as usual it only took me a few minutes to get rid of it after posting this... Somehow, subclassing NSBundle seemed to be the bad idea. Now I only subclass NSObject and my resources are found. I only subclassed NSBundle because of some error message I got early on anyway. An error message that I must have misunderstood.
