Spiegel Online writes about the (obvious) trend of free legal music promo downloads. That are starting to become popular now that the commercial ones work.

Funny fact: Coke offers free Windows-only songs with their drinks – akin to the iTunes Pepsi thing in the U.S. – in Germany but due to German laws the value of the freebie may only be a fraction of the price of your purchase. Hence people have to submit four codes for a single song.

Other funny fact: The German football team dropped out of the European cup. Perhaps normality can be restored in this country now? I doubt it. Apparently they didn't play too well and deserved it. I rarely saw my flatmate as tense as during that game. – – – And I though people watch sports to relax.

I learned a few fun words like Standardsituation, Laufpensum, Turniermannschaft or Anschlußtreffer during the tournament, though – as meeting flatmates in the kitchen, watching matches was unavoidable.

After the games they have that annoying ex-football player (or whatnot) Günther Netzer comment the matches. I am wondering whether his teeth are real. They look a little to square for proper teeth. Unfortunately Google didn't help me on that one.

Why does my FireWire CD burner ruin the CD it is in the process of burning just because I connect/disconnect my iPod? My idea of 'hot-pluggable' was a different one.
