Retailers used my absence to sneak the first christmas sweets into their shops. It's insane. I still remember how my mum was going on about how they sold those sweets earlier every year when I was little – that was in November.
On the other hand, while I despise christmas and all the shopping madness associated to it, I enjoy the cookies. In fact I am rather in favour of all-year christmas sweets and not in favour at all of some of my favourite biscuits only being available for a few months per year.
